We dive Lake Baikal all year round. That’s why:
1. Recreational diving courses take place any time, all year round (there are open-water areas in the Baikal all year round), thus, these do not require booking long in advance.
2. Ice Diving courses take place from February till beginning of April.
3. Technical diving courses take place from May till January (when the lake is not covered in ice).
4. Cave diving courses take place all year round.
If you are interested in taking Technical, Cave or Instructor courses with BaikalTek Instructors you have to keep in mind we are busy with safaris and courses, so the dates are to be agreed on in advance.
However, there are some fixed dates and places for Instructor, Technical and Cave courses, which you might find convenient. Here they are:
End of November - December, 2019 - Technical course TDI & IANTD to the level Hypoxic Trimix. Place: Lake Baikal dive safari or Listvyanka. Take your chance to experience incredible visibility. November-January - is the best season for great visibility in the Baikal. Master-classes for deep cold water diving. Instructors: Gennady Misan and Tatiana Oparina
May 15 - December 25, 2019 - TDI, IANTD & CMAS courses: from Advanced Nitrox to Advanced (Hypoxic ) Trimix. Place: Lake Baikal.
February 1 - April 15, 2019 - Ice Diving courses. Place: Listvyanka or during Lake Baikal Jeep Ice-Diving Safaris.
July 23 - July 28, 2019 - a traditional Technical Diving Week in the Baikal, in the framework of which one can take technical diver and instructor courses to the level of Advanced Trimix TDI & CMAS. Instructors: Gennady Misan, Tatiana Oparina.
Aprile 20 - 26, 2019. TDI courses: Cavern, Intro to Cave, Full Cave, Cave Sidemount. Place: Ordinskaya Cave (Perm Region). Instructor: Gennady Misan.
